ANU is limited in the number of general education courses offered to our students. Courses taken at other institutes in the general education requirement categories (Oral and Written Communication, Science and Mathematics, Humanities, and Social and Behavioral Sciences) are transferable to ANU. Credits earned with a grade of C or better in general education courses at accredited institutes are evaluated by the Office of Admissions to determine the category of credit and equivalency. References to local community colleges and state colleges in their broad offerings of general education courses help to determine the category and equivalency of general education credit at ANU. The matriculation process at ANU for general education courses is liberal in the sense we accept courses for credit beyond our limited offering as long as courses met the equivalency level of the category.

Atlantic National University is authorized by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) to accept and enroll nonimmigrant students. There is no fee charge for issuing the I-20.
