The Undergraduate Program
The undergraduate program in Business Administration offers
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration
in Accounting, Marketing and International Business. The program
educates students from a cross-functional, cross-cultural
perspective, equips them with the intellectual tools they
need to assume responsible positions in organizations. The
course of study develops students into well-rounded professionals
and managers with a life-long learning capacity. The program
is designed to assure that participants develop an integrated
body of knowledge in business and management of modern organizations;
a set of essential business and management skills including
interpersonal leadership communication, and teamwork skills;
a broad capacity of learning, critical thinking, and problem
solving; a deep appreciation for the role of culture in managing
organizations and dealing with institutional constituents
including customers, employees, and suppliers; and a global
view of personal and organizational achievement in the context
of social and culture values. Graduates can enter a variety
of careers in domestic and international businesses such accounting,
quantitative methods, professional sales, retailing, distribution
and logistics, import/export trade, advertising, analyst,
project leader, marketing manager, purchasing, and quality
control specialist.
International Business
Through the International Business Emphasis, those who wish
to learn to compete in business on a global level will gain
knowledge and expertise related to international business
and trade. Students will obtain an understanding of the complex
global business and economic environment. Individuals with
interests or careers in marketing management, professional
sales, advertising, research, transportation and distribution
management, retailing, and small businesses gain practical
learning experiences as well as cutting edge theory. The MBA
at ANU aims to prepare its students for life in a changing
global economy by developing their communication, analytical,
teamwork, and problem solving skills.

The Computer Science program
The Computer Science program is designed for the graduate
seeking to pursue a career in Computer Technology. The program
is structured around a core of technology-oriented courses
with emphasis on applying computer technology to solve business
problems. Students draw on their course of study as they work
to develop solutions to case studies. The CS program provides
students with a foundation in computer programming, database
technology, networking, and system analysis and design. Graduates
of the program are prepared for careers in areas of IT management,
IT consulting, Technical Training, Software Support, Information
Systems Project Manager, LAN Administration, Database Administrator,
and Business Applications Development (Mainframe and Client/Server.
The Master of Science degree program
The Master of Science degree program in Computer Science provides
a technically oriented post-baccalaureate scientific education
for those who wish to acquire or extend their knowledge in
the field of computer science. The program combines both the
study of modern computer devices and their applications along
with the study of the philosophical foundations that underlie
the discipline.
A computer science graduate-degree student can have a career
as a software engineer—designing, implementing, testing and
maintaining large software systems. Careers are available
in such specialties as computer graphics, computer security,
robotics, expert systems, distributed systems, and networking.
Many companies employ computer science graduates as computer
systems and networking administrators. The graduate degree
can lead to a career in almost any industry—including aerospace,
manufacturing, banking, health and education.
